Title: The Reality of Startup Founding Ages: What Age Did You Decide to Start Your Venture?

When I came across a Harvard Business Review take on startup founders, I learned that the average age of a successful founder sits around 45. That revelation shifted my assumptions—and it made me curious about the broader community: what age did you decide to start your company?

Initial impressions had me believing that successful founders clustered in their mid-20s to early 30s. Discovering a higher average age was both surprising and intriguing, prompting a deeper look at the diverse paths that lead to entrepreneurship.

I’m interested in hearing stories from two groups:

  • Founders who already have companies: How old were you when you decided to embark on your startup journey, and what motivated that decision?
  • Aspiring entrepreneurs: What’s your story about why you’re considering starting a venture, and what factors are shaping your timeline?

If you’re comfortable sharing, I’d love to hear personal milestones, key turning points, and the reasons behind your timing. Your experiences can provide valuable perspective for others navigating the same decision.
