Title: Reflections on Eight Years in the Startup World

Eight years have passed since I left the corporate track to pursue a career in startups. During this time, I have founded three ventures and contributed to three more, with occasional side projects sprinkled in along the way.

What a rewarding journey it has been. It’s not about amassing wealth, prestige, or widespread recognition. I’m still a relatively anonymous, ordinary person. What I do value is the experience and the lessons learned. The most important takeaway: focus on solving problems rather than getting bogged down by them. Another key lesson is the power of optimism—staying positive in any situation can lead to tangible improvements.

This path has helped me forge many friendships and navigate challenges that never arise in a conventional 9-to-5 role. There have been bruising setbacks and tougher days, but there have also been moments of genuine appreciation and growth. Have I ever wondered if I should have achieved more or built a bigger name for myself? Perhaps. Do I feel unhappy now? Not at all.

I don’t claim to be an expert in any single field. Rather, I’m a generalist with a willingness to learn, and I’m comfortable expanding my knowledge as I go. When needed, I can bring in specialists to fill gaps.

Ultimately, it’s been a remarkable ride. My beliefs have been tested and reshaped, and I’ve developed a habit of keeping an open mind as I continue forward.
